Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears is a blues band influenced by Howlin' Wolf and James Brown. It was formed in Austin, Texas in 2007. They have toured with Spoon and Okkervil River. They have also played Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Coachella, Wakarusa, Craig Ferguson, David Letterman, and Later... with Jools Holland. They opened up for The Dave Matthews Band when they played Wichita's Intrust Bank Arena on 8-14-2010.
